What We Do

Wellness Your Way

Our Space

A place for youth to create the relationship they want with activity.

Our Mission

To empower youth through play and movement while providing opportunities for youth to connect with each other and other community resources.

“Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can”

— Arthur Ashe (The first and only African American male tennis player to win the U.S. Open & Wimbledon singles titles)

What Makes Us Different:

Instead of performance, we prioritize play: Sometimes it is important to celebrate just showing up. In our space we won’t count sets and reps, instead we will work on listening to what our body needs in any given moment.

Instead of body metrics, we focus on energy and mood: Isn’t one of the reasons to get active to feel better? Our energy levels and mood can be our biggest indicators of well-being. It Isn’t about feeling great everyday as much as it is about feeling a little better than we did when we walked in.

We have diversity in equipment: You can find some traditional equipment in our space but we also have beach balls, fidgets and noise cancelling headphones. We want youth to move; however they would like to each day to come in.

Our staff are trained as Youth Wellness Navigators through Rebound: Rebound has created training to certify that facilitators of programming with youth are prepared to work with this vulnerable population. All Weir Active staff are Youth Wellness Navigator certified through Rebound.
